Glossary
The words used across Riprr, from DCA and stock token to keeper, slippage and max price.
- Average price
- What you paid per token across all orders of a plan: total spent divided by total received.
- Dollar-cost averaging (DCA)
- Buying a fixed amount on a schedule instead of all at once. It spreads your entry price over time. It does not guarantee a profit.
- ETH
- The native token of Robinhood Chain. You can pay for plans with it, and you need a little for network gas when you create, edit or withdraw.
- Gas
- The network fee for a transaction. Gas for each order is included in the 0.30% fee and paid by the keeper. You pay gas only for your own transactions.
- Holdings
- The tokens your plans bought, with what your wallet holds now, the average cost and the value at today's price.
- Keeper
- The bot that runs due orders. The vault contract only lets it buy for a due plan, through an allowed router, with the tokens going to your wallet.
- Max price
- An optional ceiling on a plan. When the price is above it, that order is skipped and nothing is spent.
- Minimum output
- The least amount of tokens an order must deliver to your wallet. If less arrives, the whole order reverts.
- Order
- One scheduled purchase inside a plan.
- Plan
- The whole schedule: what to buy, what to pay with, the amount per order, how often and for how many orders.
- Position
- Everything you hold of one token through Riprr. Closing a position closes every open plan buying that token.
- Revert
- A transaction that fails and undoes itself. A reverted order spends nothing.
- Robinhood Chain
- The blockchain Riprr runs on. Your wallet must be connected to it to create and manage plans.
- Route
- The path a swap takes across exchanges. Each order asks for the best route for its size across the DEXs on Robinhood Chain.
- Slippage
- The difference between the quoted price and the price you actually get. The minimum output protects each order against too much of it.
- Stock token
- A token that gives economic exposure to a stock, like NVDA or SPY. It is not a share and carries no shareholder rights.
- USDG
- Global Dollar, a dollar stablecoin on Robinhood Chain. One of the two tokens you can pay with.
- Vault
- The Riprr smart contract that holds the unspent balance of each plan. Only the plan's wallet can withdraw it.
